Questions about Thakira

Are my documents uploaded to the internet to be read?

No. OCR runs on your computer using the built-in Windows engine, and no document leaves your device unless you choose to sync through your encrypted cloud folder.

Can more than one employee use it?

Yes, with separate accounts and permissions for each employee. To run it on more than one device, choose the “Company Edition” with sync.

Can Thakira search inside images and scanned files?

Yes. It reads text inside images and scanned PDFs in Arabic and English together, so you type a number or word and go straight to the document and page.

Does Thakira alert me before licenses, residence permits and contracts expire?

Yes. Record each document's expiry date, and Thakira alerts you well before it's due for renewal.

Is there a free trial of Thakira?

Yes. Request a trial from the contact page or via WhatsApp, and try archiving and searching your own documents before you subscribe.

Do I need internet to run the apps?

No. All our apps run on your device without internet. You only need internet to send WhatsApp messages, or for Thakira's cloud sync if you choose to use it.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in a local database, with backups in a folder you choose, such as a USB drive or another disk. We never see your data.

How can I try an app before buying?

Request a trial version through the form or on WhatsApp, and we'll send you a copy that runs on your device for a set period. When you buy, you move your data to your own copy using a backup.

What happens if my subscription ends?

The app stops at the renewal screen, and your data stays safe as it is. Once you renew, we send you a signed file and everything goes back to how it was.

I have more than one branch or device. What should I choose?

Choose the “Custom” plan and contact us. We'll work out with you how many devices you need and what each branch requires, then give you one clear price.

How do I get updates?

You receive a signed update file that you open from within the app. It saves a backup first, then installs the update and shows you what's new.

Which devices do the apps run on?

Windows 10 and 11 computers. They don't currently run on mobile phones or Macs.
